Skardu is a wonderfully astonishing city located in Gilgit−Baltistan under the region of Azad Kashmir. Skardu is the capital of Gilgit Baltistan. It is situated at an height of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet) in the Skardu Valley, at the mesmerizing area where Indus River meets the Shigar river. Sakardu serves as an important gateway to the world’s famous and second highest Karakoram mountain range. The Himalyas and Karakoram range are separated at this region through the mighty Indus River.
